What should stay human
- ✕No repair prices without eyes on the vehicle
It states your published fees and books the diagnosis. Anything requiring inspection is captured for an advisor. - ✕Photo assessment supports an estimate, it does not make one
Damage read from a photo is input for a person, never a number sent to a customer. - ✕Safety calls go to a human quickly
Undrivable and unsafe vehicles follow your instruction and escalate. The goal is a fast handoff.
And what the system won't do. It does not price repairs. It states the fees you have given it and books the diagnosis. It has no connection to your DMS or shop management system for live repair-order status, so "is my car ready" is captured and routed rather than answered — or it simply takes a message, which is often the better configuration. Declined-work follow-up is a custom workflow, not something that ships configured.

Is this only an AI receptionist?
The receptionist is the core because the advisor is the bottleneck. The practice also covers missed-call recovery, estimate drafting, text-based status handling, photo documentation, declined-work follow-up, review workflows, and a service knowledge assistant.
Can it tell a customer whether their car is ready?
Not on its own — it has no live link to your shop management system. It captures the customer and vehicle and routes the request so an advisor can answer in a batch instead of being interrupted all morning.
Will it quote a repair price?
It quotes what you have given it: diagnostic fees, published rates, standard services. It will not invent a repair estimate; it books the diagnosis instead.
